because Matt Damon is not in it.

my chaperones for my date with Logan

i remember jumping on my bed weeks before the first wolverine movie was shown. i was in stryn, then. since not a lot of stryn-ians are fond of going to the theater, i felt alone, with only about five other people, in the movie house. that date with the wolverine was so intimate. *kilig-kilig*

my second date with the wolverine yesterday wasn't as closely privy as the first one but it was cozy and warm. i had eleven chaperones for that date. i felt that i missed some of the essential scenes in the movie because my konsensya was talking to me and alondra was yawning beside me because she felt sleepy on the first half of the movie. 

wolverine is still invincible. yes! yukio is nice. i really really like her. it's a relief to know that logan has a bodyguard like her. she's an interesting character.

no more scary movie for me

just got home. kyra's watching tv in the living room, so i sat there for a while. "scary movie 5" was on. i thought "scary movies" are the only scary movies that i can watch without having a panic attack. sm5 was not scary but it was intolerable. it was repulsive! ugh!

better think of happy thoughts before i hit the sheets.

thankful

after attending yani's 7th birthday party with my high school bestfriends, i rushed back to the city. it was 7:30. that's 30 minutes late from my appointment with my sister, kikay, berl and andy at our new favorite hang out place, the comma cafe. 

it was raining and all, so the jeepney ride wasn't comfortable, plus i was sleepy and just wanted to go straight to bed. at 8:15, i was finally back in iloilo. andy texted me that there's a change of venue because the cafe was all packed. that was quite disappointing, because i was looking forward to drink a cup of "tea" at the comma. yeah, well. i guess the new place was unexpected. hahaha! they chose to wait for me at the bbq park. 

so, i got down of the jeepney with a kilometer-long-rehearsed-in-my-head explanation why i was late. my sister, andy and kikay were outside the resto with a balloon. we hugged and kissed and they ushered me inside the resto. from the farthest end of bbq park, my friends from work were singing the birthday song in a standing ovation. i consciously walked my way to them while passing through the other customers who were curiously looking my way. 

some surprise, huh! it was so heart-fattening to have my friends at work gather for my day. even mamang riz who resigned 4 months ago was there with a pink cake! did i mention that they all wore pink clothes? yes, my surprise party's motif was pink! ugh! and their gifts, which were all accessories, were all pink! i guess, i gotta love pink from now on. 

iris and chin were also there. this "chin" couple hasn't joined our midnight snack-ing for quite a while, so i was so pleased to hang out with them. our gl rhea was there, too. she brought her daughter, lexie, but she had to bring her back home because it was late already. (waaahhh! my fault for being late!). and of course, berlin, andy, my sis and kikay were there to complete the pack.

we had so much fun at dinner. actually they were very hungry. hahaha! and i wasn't because i came from a children party. bwahahah! my devil laughter annoyed them, but they heartily ate their dinner. 

while they were eating, i was mummed. i just felt so happy at that time. i felt greatful to have friends. we're like a family. ah! i'm overwhelmed! just...thank you, god, for my friends.

we bade goodbye to gl rhea, iris and chin and kikay at around 11. mamang riz, berl, andy, my sister and i decided to hang out at floyd's in smallville. we had cups of coffee and maiz con hielo while the people around us were drinking beer! hahaha! it was a nice sight!

we stayed at floyd's until the witching hour and walked to jollibee to have fries, sundae and coke. food addict, huh?! well, we gotta do a lot of taebo exercise for splurging on anything edible. 

we finally said bye bye at 5 am. 

when my sis and i got to the boarding house, we were all drained with energy. we planned to wake up at 3pm.

....but at 9 am, i was woken when my phone rang. my bestfriend was on the other end of the line. she was with her hubby, mader ramir and some of her cousins. they sang the birthday song over the phone. when they were done singing, my bestfriend asked me if i'm ready. i said, "ready for what?". and she said, "take a bath and we'll pick you up in 30 minutes." i was like, "seriously?". and she hang up.

now that's another story.........
