night at the haunted house

today, i had an audrey hepburn look. 

last night, i was, uhm...as berl called it, "prom queen".

we went to berl and andy's haunted boarding house to keep them company. we were supposed to help in painting the walls of their bh, but we ended up screaming and avoiding the old closet with a scary mirror in one of the rooms. to get rid of the fear, we decided to make some polvoron and stayed in the living room and painted our faced instead.

i've always dreamed of doing audrey hepburn's breakfast at tiffany's look. and that dream came true today. when boredom strikes, one turns to the arts.

thank you mader kyra for being my make-up artist, hair and fashion stylist, photographer and editor.

ang mga kasama kong maglakad gabi-gabi galing sa trabaho

ang mga babaeng harsh pero nagsasabi ng totoo

si donats ay muntik ng ma dunot

ang babaeng ito ay na ratsada at na tv patrol pagkatapos ma aksidente sa sinasakyang motorsiklo bandang alas diyes ng gabi noong huwebes sa barangay mansaya, bo. obrero.

siya ay nagtamo ng malaking sugat sa kaliwang tuhod, gasgas sa binti, dibdib, kamay at mukha at ilang stiches sa kanyang chin.

hindi ako lumabas sa aking cube buong araw noong lunes dahil ayoko siyang makita dahil ayoko talagang makakita ng mga sugat sugat na yan. pero si donats ay lubhang makulit at ilang beses pang pumasok sa cube ko, na actually, kadalasan naman niyang ginagawa. pero hindi talaga ako tumingin sa kanya. sinasagot ko lang ang mga tanong nya, pero naka focus lang ako sa computer screen ko. nung mapansin nyang iniiwasan ko talaga sya, pinilit nya akong tingnan sya kasi hindi naman daw sya nakakatakot. nainis na talaga ako!!!

kahapon pagdating ko sa office, hindi na ako nakaiwas pa kasi nakasalubong ko talaga sya. tumambad sa harapan ko ang isang donats na puno ng bandage at sugat. nabigla ako pero wala ng panahon para magtakip ng mukha o tumakbo. kaya tiningnan ko na lang sya at pilit kinunan ng litrato. para naman may souvenir sya sa aksidente nya. pero sya naman 'tong nagtago. 

nagbabalak pa naman syang turuan akong mag motorsiklo. pero sa nangyari sa kanya, sige, 'wag na lang muna. 

si donats ay hindi pa rin nagbago pagkatapos iuntog ang katawan sa kalsada noong huwebes. sobra pa rin syang makulit at masayahin na kung hindi mo lang makita ang mga sugat nya sa katawan, eh, parang wala lang nangyari sa kanya.

back to my nook

the internet connection in the office is back. it has been disconnected since tuesday, after the earthquake. and since then, i waited everyday for a text message from our hr manager whether we're going to report for work or not. 

i have been asking for a long weekend, that's true. sometimes, i just want to be free from talking for hours. my wish has been granted, but i didn't expect that it will be such a bore. 

what did i do with time when i had so much of it?

* washed my and my roommates clothes, cleaned our room and rearrange our closet.
* watched movies on hbo, cinema one and disney channel
* took a walk 
* looked for Halloween costumes 
* talked to my kaibigang butiki

now, it's back to work and to my comfort zone. it felt good to talk to my students again and to hear their concerns about me and for everyone else.

i talk and work, and it's fun!

my bestfriend showed to me a video of the showtime hosts on instagram. the hosts were skateboarding while saying " pupuntahan namin si vhong navarro, men! "

and! being a great fan of vhong navarro, i convinced, no, pleaded to my friends to do a video (or videos, if i get so lucky) using the same line but on different modes of transportation or any moving objects. just for the heck of it! who knows, maybe one of these days, eh, baka puntahan ko talaga si vhong navarro, men!

mr. moon and mya

i met with mya chew last night. i saw her last in 2011. as we went out of 'jones' cafe', i looked up the sky and saw the brightness of the moon. i recalled that it was also a full moon when we met in 2011. it was very nice to see mya again after a couple of years. of course, it was a pleasure seeing mr. moon again after several months of being overshadowed by the typhoonee weather.

i pray...

it has been four days since an earthquake shook some parts of visayas. i'm still praying for the people who have been affected by mother nature's movements. 

keep safe, people in Cebu and Bohol. you'll get through this. have faith.

that feeling when i wake up in the morning and i have that drive to change the world...

i just keep my eyes closed, and randomly list down the things that i want to do to make this place a better one...

i smile...it feels so easy to do some change...

as i open my eyes, my positive thoughts gets cloudy. i realize that i'm not a superhero...or yagami light...or L. 

i get out of bed and step into the light of day.

ahhh...this world is not so bad after all. the cool breeze, the sunny weather, the green trees, the delicious breakfast, a cup of black coffee and the endless chatter of mama meriam...  

there's nothing more to change.

this is my reality.
