.........................the adjustment bureau..........................

black outs can't ruin our Sunday

even the boss at the adjustment bureau didn't stop us from our gigs. even the heavy rain didn't stop us from shopping for "pantat" and rice and for looking for a clean restroom. even the crazy wind didn't stop us from jumping. the housemates of Balay Jaro had a fabulous day with Big Brother outside the Balay Jaro House...
started the day right with a hearty breakfast with the housemates...first time after a very very long time.
BB and and the housemates...
how to kill a "pantat" with a stick?
yebaaa!!! our expertise!
Crave for tita mona ^_^
eating tita mona's Crave...wehehe! thank you, housemates! i love you very much <3

it's the ending that matters

i woke up earlier than usual, washed my clothes, took a bath and dressed up. at 12:30, i was all set for my 2 pm shift. i didn't know what happened with time. the next time i checked my phone, it was already 1:30. i rushed out of the house in my dark blue jeans and plaid shirt and ran under the rain to the hi-way. the manong jeepney driver drove around 20 km/hour and i wanted to strangle him. when i got off the central market, i sprinted to the office and was able to reach the biometrics at 1354. right! 4 minutes late! i made my reports for my first two classes and checked the system. i put on a happy face to greet my students at 1519. i expected only 1 student in the room but i was greeted by 3. well, it was fine. when 1540 came, i was surprised by 10 kids! wonderful! they took my breath away...they were good kids. i just wasn't prepared for them and i let them sip all my energy. i was so drained after an hour in the office that i even entertained the thought of going home. plus, when everyone saw me, they were all so shocked and asked why i was dressed that way...i suddenly felt small. waaah!!! they said, they were used to seeing me in dresses and they're always looking forward to what i will be wearing. well, i surely didn't want to disappoint them...dinner time! i didn't bring food from home so i went along with my groupmates when they went out to buy some food. i bought "kare-kare" with "bagoong". i didn't bring utensils. waaahhh! i felt like a "pulubi" eating on a plastic and with a borrowed fork from vonne. the "kare-kare" was disappointing. the meat was like a chewing gum. good thing there were some vegetables in it. so i just ate the veggies with my rice. i must have been an "interesting" person on a friday because aside from getting comments from everyone about my clothes, they stood around me while i was eating. ugh! enough for the shrinking feeling. after dinner, i put on what little confidence that i have and went on with my classes. i stayed hidden in my cube and did some reading until the end of the shift. i was looking forward for a walk with andy and whoever else who wants to join us. as we were close to our usual friday tambayan, rhea asked if we'd still drop by chowking. we didn't plan on eating out that night because we didn't have money. so rhea caught up with her jeep. but andy, sissy quel and i were so drawn to chow. i, for one, wanted to re-claim my day. andy just wanted to hang out. and quel...she was torn between joining us and going home. with two votes against one, we finally decided to have budget meals in chow. yehey! my soul was happier than my body when i started eating my chow fan with chili sauce. we talked about quel's love adventures and andy read marriage quotes. the talking went on from love to childhood. we were so boisterous talking about the games that we played when we were kids. ahh! those free and innocent days when all we worried about was playing! with the laughter that we shared early saturday morning, i finally re-claimed my friday! chowking atrium is my new comfort zone on a friday night.

in between here and there

i haven't noticed that i've been visiting OB clinics more often than i visit the malls these past weeks. fairy mea made me realize that. it probably started when she was pregnant and i would often go with her when she had her check-up. these days, i would go with my best friend for her pelvic CAT scan and her check-ups, as well. we're both conquering our fear of needles and tubes and indescribable liquid drink. i'm just there beside her, but i also felt her worries and disgust over the procedure. well, as always, we can turn any moments into a good one. while she was laying on the machine, we talked about happy memories and our laughter warmed the freezing room. seconds after we broke into fits of laughter, the nurse entered the room and asked her to lay still. oh well! one of my high school best friends is pregnant! i am so happy for her. she's so brave to travel from our town to the city for her OB check-up...alone. the other day i was with her too when she went to her OB, and i'm looking forward for more visits to the OB clinics. it's a totally different world there <3

the best excuse

i thought that my excuse [i was absent from work because rainy days and mondays always get me down] for being absent from work a long, long time ago, was the best one to blow any hr officer's mind. i was wrong. my mind was even blown when i read andy's explanation letter, attached to the memo that the hr gave her, for dressing inappropriately at work.
one more reason why andy rocks!

who's mr. grey?

i've been reading posts about mr. christian grey. i was totally clueless of who he is and i wondered much how come almost everybody knows him and i don't. thanks to my idle moments in my D11 cube, i had time to harass google to show me who this persona is. alas! i finally got acquainted with him...he turned out to be the main character in a novel by British author E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey. i have yet to know him deeply when i get my hands on the first installment of the trilogy. my friends on the social network have their own bets on who's gonna play the part of this young business magnate. their choices are channing tatum, matt bomer, ryan gosling, chris pine and my vampire, ian somerhalder. actually, it seems that my vampire is gaining a lot of votes for the role. hmmm...i think, he is too well-known to be the sarcastic, handsome vampire, damon salvatore. there's no doubt he can perfectly play the role of mr. grey. i just thought that, maybe, an unknown actor could well fit in the role, too. ...and i found this pic online...
for me, he can be mr. christian grey.
