my furry babies

i love my four-legged babies

the diary of the lemon seeds, part 2

exactly  three weeks after i planted the lemon seeds, this is how they look like now.

out of the 9 seeds that i planted, 8 of them are responding positively, as we speak. i think i planted the other one in the wrong direction that's why it didn't grow as well as the others. (cue in: saan? saan ako nagkamali?)

but for the 8 remaining babies, go, grow and glow!

running away from running

i can walk and hike for many miles but the farthest that i can run? i say, a run for about 500 meters is too much 😞 so i just avoid it as much as i can. like, a have a track record for being late all the time but when i have to catch my bus or train, then i'm forced to run. so i won't be late. when that happens, i make a promise to myself that i will leave the house earlier, so that i won't have to run.

what is it with running that i don't like? hmmmm... it's that pain in my lungs when i can no longer catch my breath. that's it. after 500 meters of running, i'm like a dying person grasping for some moments to live.

for some reason (me gaining chocolate weight, obviously), the captain have been encouraging me to run. and for a few evenings now, when we take a walk with Fasu, we would run for some time as far as my lungs can take me. it's fun when i'm running with them. i don't mind the pain in my lungs so much.

i can't decide yet if i'm going to embrace and love this exercise. i can try....

the country life

loving this countryside kind of life. it's peaceful, away from traffic, the scenery is good, relaxing and i can say hi to all the horses that we pass by as we drive everywhere.

yesterday, the sun came out, yes, but it was oh so cold! took a walk with Fasu around the neighborhood. when the captain came home we drove to the garage and Fasu and i had a great time playing there.

for the love of food

ate Jammie came over to visit me today and it's so nice to have somebody who speaks my language to talk with. usually, it's me who comes over to her house. she would prepare an enormous amount of food and we would eat as much ( or even more ) as our tummies can take.

today, it was my turn to be a host. since i'm not really good in cooking, i needed help from my chef friends from YouTube. i decided to make Maangchi's mandu-guk.

it was surprisingly easy to prepare and it tasted good too! ate Jammie and i thought it's the perfect food to share on a rainy and gloomy day.

this is just a drill

our class had the tulityökoulutus today. i managed to stay awake all throughout the theory part but when the teacher said that we were going outside for the practice, i was even more awake. i felt scared when i saw the fire and my kilikili and hands were sweating. but i survived it! i wasn't swallowed by the fire nor my fear.

p.s. yesterday we were at a construction fair in the city and there was one guy who was selling these stuffs in one booth...

these made me laugh....

a thing from march of last year

lazy. that's what i am today. i didn't feel like going outside for a walk, so i just played with Fasu in the front yard. i didn't feel like going through the plants' scientific names, instead, i watched "the fantastic beasts", which was Fantastic!
however,i managed to do something from last year's trip to dk and hamburg with my sister, because last year, around this time, i was too lazy to blog that i somehow abandoned writing and posting. uhuh! maybe the laziness usually comes to me at this time of the year...hmmmm...

so, around this time of the month last year, i was with my sister. first stop was in Copenhagen, then we took the bus from there to Hamburg. we visited Chocoversum chocolate museum (heaven!), St. Michael's Church, Rathaus, St. Paul's Fishmarket, Planten un Blomen, Warehouse District and Alter Elbtunnel. it was a wonderful experience being there with Yvonne.

my sister will never forgive me if she knew that i
posted her video singing a song from the meteor garden,
but then, what she doesn't know won't kill me! ^_^
peace, sister!

dear teacher, i'm sick but i'm okay

it was snowing early in the morning when i got out of bed. i decided to skip school because i'm sick (cough! cough!) just ate breakfast and went out for a walk with Fasu. it was supposed to be a short one but i loved the feel of the snow on my face, so we went beyond borders. luckily, we didn't encounter any other dogs. what a relief!

the playground was all ours! a stick was all we needed
for a good playtime.

i spent the rest of the day trying to study the scientific names of the perennial plants. ugh! i'm not inspired to study today, but i must, since i skipped school, so i should do something productive, right?!

hello? Carl Linnaeus, are you there? i need your
help in my studies...

the birds are singing!

Fasu and i finally got to the forest today, without bumping into anyone that we know or don't know. although it's not allowed for dog-owners to let their dogs run free in the forest, i sometimes break that rule. simply because, i want Fasu to be happy, and she's happy when she can play and run freely. but of course, i keep a watchful eye all the time for any runners, skiers, walkers or barkers that might come near us.

and because today is a sunny day, mother nature looked so refreshed and a little bit washed-off from the snowy winter. and the birds were having their little concert in the forest! oh, so magical!

after the tour in the forest, i went to the shop to buy some food and when i got home, this is what i found...

my sleeping beauty

the perks of being on a passenger's seat

yesterday, i took a walk with Fasu quite early in the morning. i was planning to take her to the forest but along the way, we met my classmate and his dog, Etta. Fasu was barking and pulling again, so, to desensitize her, i thought maybe we should walk along with Etta. surprisingly, Fasu got used to her easily and the walk went fine. i could never be happier!

before midday, the captain called to ask if i want to go to work with him. i said yes right away! so he picked me up and off we went. i love being a passenger because i can enjoy the view, get to know places that i haven't been to yet, and of course, i get to spend time with my peura.

in one of the trips, i got to be in one of the
machines used in collecting the trees that were already cut.
and the best thing is, Robbie Williams' new song was
playing on the radio while my peura was driving the
machine off the truck!
i love my life!

it was a long day, but a well-spent day with the captain ^_^

the diary of the lemon seeds, part 1

my sister introduced to me the benefits of drinking lemon water and so i have been religious in drinking my water with lemon juice for about a month now. and so, this experiment was inspired by yvonne.

day 1. i peeled 11 lemon seeds, wrapped them in a damp paper towel, placed them in a ziplock and let them rest in the warm garage.

after 11 days, i took them out of the ziplock bag and planted each of them in plastic cups. out of 11 seeds, only 9 of them germinated.

here are the lovely lemon seeds after 6 days in the plastic cups. they are bathing in the sun from morning until late afternoon. i really really hope that they will grow well.

hello, spring!

i now know when spring starts...it's when all the working tools come out of their hiding places and someone finds something to fix here and there. but i don't mind. at least, not today. i'm in so much good mood, especially when i had time to run around the frozen lake with Fasu.

as we were driving back home, the sun was shinning beautifully behind the clouds, that i just can't let it pass without documenting it.

my version of a long bob cut

i watched diy hair-cutting videos on youtube for some hours today. every minute that i watched, i felt my hair getting heavier and the desire to trim it was getting stronger. to put an end to my "sablok" i finally took out my hair scissors and just cut my hair.

this is how it looks in front

and the back view

Hahaha! it's not so straight but who cares? OH! the captain cares. he's not pleased of what i did to my hair because he liked my long hair so much. but well, it will grow back in time anyway 💇😘

watched Moana with Amanda

after listening to my teacher talk about plumbing, taking my second chance to pass the road safety test, taking my cut-flowers test and coughing all day long, i think i deserve a break! so here's me and Amanda enjoying the animation. 😻

the resident cat

look who came to greet me, as i was heading to the school canteen for lunch...

i don't know this cat's name, but i see it every now and then at the school premises. and everytime that we meet, it doesn't fail in making my heart happy.

i love cats and i'm glad that some of them love me back ^_^

i love this baby so much!
